Fluid Movement Internship Job Description:
Fluid Movement Costume Intern needed to assist 2010 Water Ballet Producers & scene Directors with costuming issues & ideas.
Seeking energetic independent minded Intern to help with costume design, sewing, gluing, painting/embellishing, sizing/tailoring, cost estimates, and pattern-making. Some costumes are unique, while others are assembly line items of up to 15+. The intern will work closely with Producers, Directors and cast members and other costume makers to divide labor, may tutor others in specific costume related work, and should expect to create costumes designed by others.
Intern will also assist with studio organization & costume storage, which may include solving storage problems, hanging costumes, building storage devices, taking inventory, organizing supplies and tools. Intern should expect to take direction and instruction, as well as working & solving problems independently. If amenable additional duties/opportunities likely available.
Intern will need to attend some Directors Meeting (Tuesdays 7:00-8:30 through May), rehearsals, which are Scheduled to begin June 7, 2010 and Performance dates July 24/25, 2010, July 31, 2010 and August 1, 2010. Must expect to work 3 to 6+ hours/week with the possibility of additional hours from April, 2010 to August 2010 for a total of approximately 102+ hours.
