These are the people I volunteered for for my journey project.

Ask for Ryan Patterson, he is really friendly and fun and a sculpture graduate of MICA!
We built rain barrels for the elementary school and left some of the steps for the kids to learn themselves. The rain barrels were set up one next to the other much like the picture. The recycled rain barrels overflow into each consecutive barrel. All the water is collected from a giant roof funnel. Without catching the water from the rain, the clean rain water just goes into the potentially toxic soils. Also, energy is reduced by not having to pump water collected for cities in reservoirs from a far.
The rain barrels we set up will be used by the elementary students for their garden for years to come and they will know how to make one for their future gardens!!
